Program Overview

The Institute for Coaching Excellence (IFCE) provides a Certificate in Life, Leadership, & Executive Coach that can be obtained remotely in 6 months. Our 135-hour program meets the coach training requirements for those seeking an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation. 10 hours of mentor coaching, 22 hours of peer coaching, and step by step instructions for launching a business are also included in our program.

Scheduling & format

Title: IFCE’s Certified Life, Leadership, & Executive Coach Certificate Program
Morning Schedule: Tuesdays | 8:00 - 11:00 am MT 

Evening Schedule:  Wednesdays | 3:00 - 6:00 pm MT 

Instructors: Alexis Goggans, PCC & Christian Hartley, PCC

Tuition: $4,000 which includes a $300 registration fee (payment plans available and $200 off for early enrollees)

Course Goals

Our definition of excellence

  • Master the ICF’s Code of Ethics and Core Competencies

  • Obtain a PCC Level coaching proficiency

  • Complete the Business in a Box to start & grow your business in 6 months

  • Complete a final Capstone Project to launch your coaching business

  • Think critically about the role coaching plays in social change & development.

Activities

Program expectations

  • 3 hour weekly meetings via Zoom Video Conference for 6 months 

  • 22 lesson broken into 5 modules for a total of 135 hours

  • 80% of course is on the ICF Core Competencies, 20% on business planning

  • 69 hours of student contact hours and 66 asynchronous contact hours

  • Approximately 22 hours of peer-to-peer coaching included

  • 10 mentor coaching sessions (7 in class, 3 one on one with Instructors)

  • Weekly homework assignments, reading, and Slack prompts

Credentialing

ICF Accreditation

Graduates from our program can apply for the ICF's Associate Certified Coach Credential using the Level 2 Path if they:

  1. Pass the ICF's Coach Knowledge Assessment with a score of 70% or higher

  2. Complete at least 60 hours of coach specific education or training

  3. Receive 10 hours of mentor coaching

  4. Obtain a minimum of 100 hours (75 paid) of coaching with at least 8 clients.

Graduates from our program can also apply for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) International Coaching Federation (ICF) Credential using the Level 2 Path if they:

  1.  Pass the ICF's Coach Knowledge Assessment with a score of 70% or higher

  2. Complete at least 125 hours of coach specific education or training

  3. Receive 10 hours of mentor coaching

  4. Obtain a minimum of 500 hours (450 paid) of coaching with at least 25 clients.

The IFCE's Life, Leadership & Executive Coaching Program is Accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Please refer to the ICF website for more information and updates on the credentialing process.
